Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Portugal: Q3 2025 Performance

In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on Android in Portugal showcased varied trends in downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at the leading apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a peak in weekly downloads at 13.5K in mid-August, before declining to around 7.2K by the end of September. The app maintained a robust presence with weekly active users peaking at approximately 978K.

Via Verde saw a moderate increase in downloads, reaching a high of 7.3K in early August. The app's weekly active users fluctuated, starting the quarter at 105K and ending at 111K.

Satellite View - Maps - Radar showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 7.1K in early September. Active users also grew significantly, reaching 14K by mid-September.

Google Earth displayed consistent weekly downloads around 3.5K. Active user numbers varied, peaking at nearly 60K at the start of the quarter.

GPS Navigation & Map Direction showed a decline in downloads, from 3.5K in late July to 1.7K by the end of September. Active users also decreased slightly, starting at 1.3K and ending at 823.
